Chris Scoops Top Award

Chris was delighted to win the Rider of the Year Award at the Weymouth End of Year Presentation Evening. He said " I am very pleased to win and it was quite a surprise considering that I only came to Weymouth in the middle of the season. I settled in quite quickly, the management and fans have been brilliant, we had a good team spirit and it was certainly the best move for me. Phil Bartlett looked after me well and and I think that it shows in my results. Getting this award means a lot to me as it shows how everyone appreciates the effort I have made and I hope to come back next year and help win the league.

Johno Breaks Wrist

After initially suffering an injury to his wrist two months ago X-rays revealed nothing was broken, so he carried on riding and it seemed to be heeling fine. Then after a fall on the IOW against Sheffield he hurt his wrist in his 1st race. After more X-rays the doctors still said nothing was broken.

However after trying to ride in the Astra Grasstrack at the weekend proved impossible as Chris had no strength or movement in the wrist after his first ride.

Still suffering in a lot of pain a few days later he went for more X-rays which have revealed a broken Scaphoid and a few loose segments of bone floating around. Chris is now in a cast for the next six weeks before he can start training ready for next year.
